As commented previously, this was ever going to happen. They agreed to it in the first place on conditions, those conditions were not met, ergo here we are. We can expect public outcry etc. on this point for a little while.

Russia isn't going to comply, not after Minsk II. He was one of the people who orchestrated this way + defense and thought Russia would pull out. I think Putin really means what he says about the demiliterization of Ukraine. There isn't going to be any peace agreement with the current Kiev regime. Putin has to die or there has to be a coup in Russia for them to agree to anything else.

Russia has been very plain spoken with regards to the grain deal. they mean what they say and this is confusing the west (because the west never means what it says).
