Real news here, that's mobilization throw backdoor. 3000 people aren't much but I think they are specialists needed to fill the gaps in Europe. I don't expect any ground combat from them.

Just because they grossly underestimated the resistance (in hindsight) does not mean they weren't aiming high.

You don’t take a city of close to 3mm with 100k troops. It was a gamble that didn’t work to see if Ukrainians would get spooked and lay down. When they didn’t they just ran back.

Look at Bakhmut a city that had less than 1/4 the population of Kiev and the amount of troops it took on both sides. That’s a real attempt to take a city.

But you could decapitate leadership. I'll admit that I didn't believe they'd invade until they literally did because it made no fucking sense. They didn't have the adequate resources.
