At this point he probably just enjoys the maddow's and Lawrence's of the media spending years destroying their own credibility and sacrificing all their integrity trying to get something on him tax related when there was never going to be anything in there anyway other than bullshit for the anti trumpers to use for their conspiracies and the pro trumpers to use for their narratives
While so many were focused on how terrible of a person trump is they themselves became pretty terrible trying to get him.
I look at it differently. Trump not releasing his tax returns is just another example(among many thousands) of how Republican politicians, pundits, and voters don't actually care about transparency or accountability. If people don't have any real viewpoints or principles, and only support or oppose things based on how it affects the leader they support, they don't have any credibility.
Now, it's always been the case that politicians/pundits/voters give extra leeway to the people(or president) they support. But with Trump, it's just an astronomical level of inconsistency. Which is probably more important to our republic than a couple of known left-wing hacks hyping up some documents or putting out misinformation on an opinion show.
Edit - Just want to say that Lawrence putting that out was shameful, and much more embarrassing than Maddow hyping up those documents she got.
