This list is wrong. Ukraine would be labeled a second world country. The distinction between 1st, 2nd and 3rd has to do with

1st world=the west
2nd world=communist soviet countries
3rd= distinction for the non aligned

Pakistan has nukes and China/Ukraine are actually 2nd world countries if you want to get picky about labels, one of which is currently being bombed...

My point is I dont like the expression "third world country" as it is highly subjective and is an expression of the last century. it is no longer relevant. I did a google and i got 15 countries, including those 3, to prove my point.

for the same reason i think expressions such as "orc's" or "LGBT+A++" etc are too simplistic. better to simple call them countries, nations, or people. I accept that closet racists (and open racists) prefer such terms as Orc's, but that does not mean that they are right. Look at how the US is culturally tearing itself apart. move away from all that ideological LGBT crap (all it is doing is eating up the country) and just call people, people.

I will try not to use it in the future but I think getting bent out of shape over a term everyone understands is a little strange, especially considering I also labeled them shitholes in the same comment lol, if anything I'd say that was the label worth being chastised over

well, certain countries are shitholes. but "the third world" does not have a monopoly on shitholes, and "the third world" no longer exists.

The term really isn't that deep, the proper definition is still quite relevant today and literally everyone on the planet knows what you mean when you use it colloquially, as I did.

Like I said I will try not to use it, but I wasn't really wrong to use it and I certainly am not going to apologize or feel bad for using it because of some weird hangup you have about it.
