Does Turkey have some benefit to sabotaging the grain deal? I don't follow their geopolitics close enough to know, but its pretty egregious and a textbook example of perfidy to agree to a prisoner swap on conditions and then turn around and violate those conditions.

Russia wanted easing on sanctions towards its agriculture but Europe wanted the wheat without any changes to sanctions. Russia was going to stop the deal one way or another regardless of Turkey.
