It is not Ukraine's call to make... it is the US and EU. Russia did not invade Ukraine to win their hearts and minds, they did so to negotiate with US and NATO. Time will tell how things will turn out.

Russia (aka Putin & associated), invaded Ukraine because they want it back, under total, authoritarian, control. They failed now they will try to steal 1/3 of it.

Negociations ended into bitch moves, ie they bombed food tanks or something, along with hospitals etc
Btw this is perfectly following Putin that only see balance of powers as an argument. There is no freedom, no democracy here. Only a: Take it by force.

This is demented. The Russian aggression of the past 2 months was the final nail in the coffin for Ukraine being allied in spirit with the West/NATO. Even worse (from the Russian pov): the ruthless attacks on cities like Kharkiv will have turned a sizeable share of the ethnic Russians living there against Russia and pushed them toward the camp of the Ukrainian government.

Yes, Ukraine will officially pledge neutrality in an eventual peace treaty, but they will be even more steadfast in their rejection of Russia and its interests as well as their orientation toward the West - and the Russian brutality experienced by the common people will increase the political majorities for this course. Before the invasion, there was an argument to be made that some deference to Russia's interests would foster a peaceful coexistence and be the more prudent approach. This "Russia can and should be appeased"-argument has gone up in flames more quickly than a rusty T-72 hit by a javelin.

This debate clearly shows that the very eastern par of Ukraine has a majority of "Russian origins" people and this is the issue.
This does not justify an invasion, civilians massacres, and war crimes, on whole Ukraine. Even mercenaries etc. Sad and dirty.

/e Russians are destroying cities to the ground, nothing is left, it's a complete destruction because they have absolutely no ethics.

there is no justification for war, there is a distinction between understanding the origins of a war and justifying one. look there is no chance we are agreeing on the origins of this conflict. lets leave that behind us and see where the events themselves now lead us.

Some Azov member got arrested in Russia, he tried to flee Ukraine posing as a refugee:

Check out those tats. Ukrainian neo-nazis really love their swastikas.

Lol bro you literally have no idea what you're talking about.

The people who were oppressed by a barbaric and oppressive Neo-Nazi regime for *8 years* are quite, quite happy with the Russian operation.

The only thing they fear is that they will leave and still have to live under Zelensky's illegitimate regime at some point in the future.

As for the javelins, they are collecting dust - a massive waste of money. As the Ukrainian theatre has shown, javelins are too bulky to wield effectively in the field. Ukrainians are abandoning them en masse and typically stick with the good old RPG-7

Sending thousands of javelins to Ukraine is basically just a way for the military industrial complex to launder some money and make a quick profit. It's not helping the Ukrainians at all, who have already realized their uselessness in combat.

Wikipedia is lying as usual. There are several thousand in Mariupol alone.

Furthermore, there are Nazi detachments attached to every single Ukrainian unit. Their job is to shoot anyone that tries to desert or surrender on the spot. This forces the Ukrainian army to keep fighting whether they want to or not.
