I honestly would consider voting for Jeff Flake for President over most people in the Democratic party. I disagree with Flake on a lot of policy, but I really don't think you discount the value of having a principled, good person in the White House. I'm a huge Flake fan. He might be my favorite person in Congress.



The Democratic House has a good chance of impeaching Trump at some point during these next 2 years. Probably after Mueller's findings are released. That's when I imagine Pelosi will pull the trigger. But they won't come close to the number needed for conviction in the Senate. Trump is almost certainly going to serve his full first term.

I'm not desensitized to the lies. We should never tolerate such blatant dishonesty from our elected officials, especially the President. Prioritizing policy or ideology over honesty and good character values in leadership is a shortsighted approach that will likely slowly erode our institutions and democracy.

As far as the acting Attorney General appointment, I don't expect Trump to appoint someone who "likes" Mueller, but I do expect him to appoint someone who doesn't have any blatant conflict of interests or public views into an investigation with potential implications for his associates or himself.
