Some of the shit the russian president said:

"any blackmail is doomed for failure"
"neo-Nazis in Kyiv and the West" had wanted Russian soldiers to kill each other.

Contradictions when we consider the amount of officials who left Moscow when this rebellion started and when russian army has special -behind lines- executioners units when its own soldiers are refusing to die on frontline.

To be precise, blackmail -> chantage. "Any chantage and attempts to organize a mutiny are doomed for failure." But, meh. The speech is weak and doesn't worth a translation.

I still don't believe it was a coup. And I still be believe it was a shot at the defense minister.

Moscow enacted the fortress plan and even destroyed road.

Putin at a meeting with the "siloviki" thanked them for the work done and asked them to analyze the situation that occurred over the weekend.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) does not confirm the mining of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) cooling pond but states that the plant is mined around the perimeter and in some places inside.

Source: IAEA press service

Quote: "No mines were observed at the site during the Director General’s visit, including the cooling pond. However, the IAEA is aware of previous placement of mines outside the plant perimeter, which the Agency has previously reported, and also at particular places inside - which security personnel [run by Russian invaders] at the plant explained were for defensive purposes," the statement reads.

The news are on the webpage of a Ukrainian newspaper. The claim was a load of bullshit from the start.

more revisionist history concerning conflicts that russian unmarked troops started in foreign territory to create excuses for and invasion, occupation, and subsequent ethnic cleansing. why am i not surprised that you support that? oh right...

still doesn't explain away the overwhelming rejection of russian invaders, not even in your #alternative facts world...

I have read a bit about partisan warfare in Melitopol, but nothing about mass disobedience. As for the Donbass, is there even significant partisan activity?

Unmarked troops find it hard to waltz into areas where they do not already possess an overwhelming advantage. In Crimea, it was possible because the overwhelming majority of Crimeans were ethnic Russians. In the Donbass, it is because a majority of the population was culturally Russian. A large portion of the overall population doesn't seem to care one way or the other, they're disengaged.

I could finally talk to my Russian neighbour who's got more info that us (I think) :
1. The coup was real. His friend in Moskow described the situation as outright panic by the gouvernment. People were trying to block and to create fortifications erratically. Neither him nor his friend over there believe in a fake coup.
2. A bit of background info, he says people are fed up with Putin's regime. They say all of the country is left underdeveloped expect for chosen places in Moskow where Oligarchs or newly rich reside. They really hoped Prigoshin would go there and blow up their residences. As you see, there seems to be lots of resentments from of the rest of Russia towards Moskow.
3. People are really questioning now why the fuck did Russia attack Ukraine in the first place if they couldn't win the war.
4. Prigoshin is an oligarch himself. He presents himself as everyone's man but he is a super rich individual. My neighbor said Prigoshin hoped for more participation from the people but he didn't get the needed support, so he turned back. In his opinion, if he went with a red communist flag telling for socialism to come back, more ordinary people would have supported his coup but he is an oligarch himself, that would've meant him losing all of his possessions in the process. People weren't interested in replacing "one dog with another".
