Ukraine found a very nice flank to attack at a destroyed Antoniw bridge between Cherson region and the other side. Russian attempts to push them back have been unsuccesful so far.

I got my info from a pretty sus source, I hope it won’t check out as indeed those guys are hardened total war guys.

Rianovosti just published a video of Shoigu inspecting some army locations.

Let’s see.

where you suggesting above a two pronged push on kyiv ?

They can hold the counter-offensive on their own without Wagner. I think there isn't going to be any attack on Kiev from there as of now but it'll force Ukraine to allocate precious mobile resources away from the front there just in case.

I think as the war escalates the natural evolution is to a more conventional approach to war, noting the existing strategy has monumentally failed.
(i.e. gloves on vs gloves off). At that point Russia will simply refer to it as a war instead of special military operation i guess.

That's not that easy. If Russia goes out of it's way to flatten western Ukraine like Iraq and to destroy all of the infrastructure, they're going to win short term but lose out big time long term. There'll never be peace on that border, guerilla wars for years etc. Lots of terror acts in Russia, imagine ISIS after the political/ social structures were destroyed in Iraq.
Better way is to hold peace talks with ALL of the interested parties for the long term solution. It's going to happen once Ukraine exhausts all of its conventional fire power and is forced to hold peace talks.

This is why the US "loses" all of its wars called "interventions". They never pay attention to the region, the surroundings and the conflict of interest to develop a long term plan. They bring "western democracy" instead peoole who aren't ready.
