Not my fault, you feel a lack of representation there, Francois. You don't include people who French surrender at the first sight of adversaries in a AA action flick. I think the marine, speznas dude, yakuza and others did a really good job. For me, the later half became more interesting, for the characters who survived became "deeper".
I think the last French to be badass for a film like predator was "Leon, The professional" with Jean Reno. I also liked the crazy dude from "district 9" (a superb film by the way, chapeau).
