I grant you this is basically a formality at this point given the year so far, and its not like we expected otherwise
but the MPPOA is declaring it will not support DFL candidates to office this year, citing support for John Thompson as their stated tipping point.



There might still be a few northern DFL candidates who won't shy away from condemning their own party and give the MPPOA an excuse to stay ostensibly non-partisan

The members of this union are no idiots, they know which party has their back and which one has the knives out for them. Their members will get the message, even without a formal endorsement of Trump/the GOP.

The MPPOA is now rescinding its endorsements for vulnerable blue dog democrats and endorsing their Republican challengers, saying that if the DFL wont rebuke John Thompson for targeting Bob Kroll's wife, they can't support anyone in the party. Pretty much fully severing all remaining political support that police in Minnesota gave to Democratic candidates.

With some rural dems still hanging on by a thread, this could easily tip them. And it seems not a single democrat has the balls to call for Thompson's resignation
