Russia has a tradition of multiple military entities and these generals & networks of people are figting for their own life. Russia is just too big and Wagner only represent a small group.
This means alot of chaos and uncertaintyies for a while... They will all try to eliminate each others and this is happening while Ukraine is trying to break trough with fresh fully equiped army.

But it is still only a scenario ATM...
