Which do you think is the bigger problem?

Why do you think you had the reflexive desire to deflect from damning criticism of fauci?

Why would you have the reflex desire to post a random quote from fauci to downplay the problem of COVID?

my mother has a friend that married in sweden and lives there.
she said they would never knew covid existed unless if they turned on TV.
later during the year, some pubs closed their indoor area but it was minority of them, and they still had outdoors opened. (majority worked normally)

there was no lockdowns, isolations, mandatory masks or anything.
but if you doubt people that live there, ask Thor to tell you what his TV told him. it's more reliable.

I'm happy lockdowns helped, look how deaths skyrocketed in sweden during 2020/2021 while they didn't follow the instructions. they should have followed what USA did, in which millions died.

it was the same here and i live in cali. i think i heard of one elderly person dying of covid and even then they would lie about causes of death. then when "flatten the curve" was over the dipchit governor went batchit crazy locking down fukn everything and wearing masks in july. bullchit was to keep the fear up and sadly it worked.
plenty of chumps here still defend the inane

my main tinfoil idea is that i ask "why a lab in china and not the US"? lack of oversight, lack of academic oversight, control of reporting on its activities, etc.
if there's a place in the world repeatedly infecting animals to try and get a more hazardous version of a virus just so they can then run tests on how to combat it its going on in China.
no proof, but logically its not a problem.

Probably just random chance. A zoonotic event requires high population density and exposure of humans to animals. Most of the first world has eliminated exposure of humans to animals. China still has a ways to go. They have millions of people interacting with bats every day in rural agrarian spaces.

thats true but ive heard the narrative of wuhan as an area like that and the reality of it are out of line. one expert questioned if bats are even in the wet market in the timeframe its been claimed that was ground zero. i just think someone fucked up, scary shit, but we'll never know.

There's no reason to assume it originated in the wet market. Wuhan is a hotspot for rural travelers.

There's two realistic scenarios for the viruses origin that I currently see

1. Rural farmers working around and going into bat caves for fertilizer got infected and slowly spread it around rural China. At some point, a rural chinese person traveled to the city and it began spreading very quickly around the wet market now that it's in a more dense area with lots of close contact and travel.

2. Rural workers got infected some years ago and Chinese health experts were called in. Samples were taken and stored, but never analyzed and the virus didn't travel to the city because of isolation protocol by the health professionals. At some point during a clean out or just from poor technique, one of those samples infects a lab worker who then goes to the wet market. This is basically the first scenario, but instead of direct transfer it's stored in a lab for a while and then gets out.

From what ive read the wet market itself is a red herring. the spread cant be traced to the wet market, the initial spread is seen in higher income areas of Wuhan. but that's not well documented, and with chinese gag orders on the doctors on the ground its a bit murky. but no proof ive seen links it to the wet market in any case, that was just the official chinese story from the onset and seems to have been assumed as fact in most of the timelines people are trying to formulate.

makes sense given that rural chinese people have been scapegoats many times before, and china clearly has disdain for their rural populations in a very similar way to what the US elite view rural southern americans.

they have found coronavirus in bats that was 98,6% similar to the covid19.
1,4% is probably not a big deal and just a matter of time for a virus that mutates so much.
but the lab conspiracy is funny :p

For comparison: the DNAs of humans and chimpanzees differ by 1.5%.
