i think c19 leaked from the wuhan lab tbh, and was not a result of a natural cross from a bat in a wet market. not joking, no proof of it, but not joking.
The idea that it leaked from a lab isn't unreasonable. When there are unknown disease outbreaks labs like the Wuhan CDC will go take samples for research. Every country does this to get a jump start on potential epidemic or pandemics. They made regular sample collections from bats when suspected outbreaks occured, including one in 2012 in a bat cave. This makes a concentration of potentially infectious virus species in research laboratories. Some are never touched due to funding or time constraints, and so could easily be overlooked when cleaning out the lab.
My contention has always been with the idea that it's genetically engineered, although I will admit I have often conflated "came from a lab" with "genetically engineered". We have no evidence it was genetically engineered, and lots of evidence it came from passage through animals, although how it was initially introduced to the population is still a question that will likely never be answered.
