I didn't say it wasn't a big deal I said that the aggravated charges and headlines like insurrection, and 9/11 esque commissions are inappropriate and highly political. It's not an insurrection because based on all of the body of evidence it's a colossal joke to think that 99% of people there were committed to some extreme cause. If that was the case, this shit wouldn't have lasted a few hours and they would of brought a lot more with them than just flags. How is it that an insurrection that had tens of thousands of people none of them killed anyone? Like just by law of large numbers you'd expect there to be at least one or two autistic dumb fucks that would have brought a gun and shot someone.

They came to stop the vote by protest and their presence, they didn't bring AR's, they didn't camp there for weeks or set up a CHAZ style barricade. Once the larping got old after a few hours they went home. Again, you have to at least have some reference point to the force someone is applying to do something. I look at this and think to myself if the people that even breached the building to do something violent, why did none of them actually follow through with anything, why did they all vacate the premise shortly after?

"protesting" a democratic election (illegally breaching the capitol to do so) and "presence" (intimidation) would have been bad enough, but it was worse: they were trying to abduct / kill lawmakers - and OVERTURN the election. not "delay the vote for one day", or whatever you revisionist hacks try to reframe it as. they also didn't go home once they "got bored", but when they realised they couldn't achieve their treasonous goals thanks to the heroic efforts of some individuals on one side, and the mental deficiencies and incompetence required to be a trump supporter on the other side.
