'what do religious people genuinely believe is moral and how are they willing to take action to promote and protect that moral decency as they perceive it?'

This is a super complex question.
We are in the 21st century.
We are not yet able to read people's minds.

Quote (Scaly @ Apr 18 2018 02:01pm)
Except there are [Christian or Jewish terrorist organizations that try to implement these recommendations].

It was not Jews and Christians who destroyed the Twin Towers.
It was not Jews and Christians who committed attacks in France and the United Kingdom.

Please, do not compare Muslim terrorist organizations with Jewish and Christian terrorist organizations.
Muslim terrorist organizations have accomplished some things that no other terrorist organization has done.

Do not compare things that are not comparable.
Terrorism in connection with Islam is a large-scale event.
They attack other religious communities, creating an extremely serious culture shock.

Do you understand the word: "accomplish"?
It is a very important word in the Hebrew and Arabic languages
.

Do you understand this word?
"Accomplish"?

to all the muslim apologists here, you do realise that islam is much more than just a religion?
that christianity has become a toothless tiger and adapted to the modern world?

I do not agree with you.
Please, explain.

Please, look at this map:

For me, the word "Christianity" brings together three different cultural currents: Catholicism, Protestantism, and Russian Orthodoxy.
I think it's imprecise to speak of Christendom.

And ours wouldn't be ours without Attaturk. /e: The separation of religion and state came from Turkey.

derp

Not sure where the concept of separation of church and state actually started but it's seen being penned into the American constitution as early as 18th century. Attaturk was not born until the end of the 19th century...so no... the concept of separation of church of state didn't come from the Turks.

The wording of the books isnt completely important because its the action of the practicers that actually matter.

Unfortunately the quran is much more violent and muslims themselves are much more violent

I do not fear criminals.
I fear organized criminals.

So yes, the wording of the books actaully matters.
A solid support for a criminal ideology is something serious.
We should affront this.
We must prevent that.

The Quran:
  • encourages crime
  • serves as a support for many criminals

I think you have to ask for it to be changed.
Would you let someone you love read a book that encourages suicide bombings?

We have to stop hating muslims.
We need to help them imo.
We must help them to modify their book imho.
