Mueller learned about it last week and referred it for investigation. The 30 journalists that were approached about the story have been discussing this among themselves for about 2 weeks, didn't find it credible given how the woman being offered money was acting, so they didn't push the story. They approached the man directly and he was more than happy to pay for false accusations.

No accusation has actually been made, but the troll brigade are pushing "believe all women" to muddy the waters given that Mueller got out in front of it.

Pretty much looks like they were trying to plant a fake story so they could discredit the journalists and none of them took the bait. Mueller got ahead of them and now they're scrambling with the brigading and the sudden call for a press conference.

Turns out the woman might not even exist. The journalist that broke the story contacted the law firm and they said they have no one by her name working there, or have ever worked there.
He couldn't find any proof that she lived where she said she lived as well. It's also concerning that she would be around the age of 75 and knowledgeable about the app called Signal (it is an encrypted communications app)

So it's looking more and more like they tried to plant a false story and it didn't work. Mueller kneecapped it by forwarding all of it to the FBI for investigation before the story even broke. So now they're brigading the story and calling for a press conference.

Looks like Jack Burkman (he's been pushing the seth rich conspiracy) and Jacob Wohl is behind this. The company Surefire Intelligence public phone number redirects to a voicemail box registered to Jacob's mother.
