At some point, you look elsewhere if the conditions worsen. I'm really interested how the politicians are going to explain the situation to the people in Europe when unemployment will soar and all of the economy switch to Chinese production.

It will take decades to switch to Chinese production. No European company left Russian market completely. They are just waiting. Crimea and Donetsk/Luhansk will finally be independent or annexed by muscovits. Thererore Ukraine will get a green light to join EU, not NATO.

Some progress in today's negotiations in Istanbul.

Ukraine agrees to refrain from any military alliances or hosting foreign military bases without Russian approval.
Russia agrees to pull back forces from the Kyiv axis.
I'm guessing rigorous negotiations are still underway regarding what manner of arms Ukraine is allowed to possess.

The next flashpoint is probably the separatist areas, where Russia will probably focus its forces next as negotiations continue.

The bolded is Russia giving up on encircling Kiev and focusing on Donbas, not a sign of negotiating goodwill

This is what was declared in the conclusion of today's negotiations, regardless of what real reasons/motivations.

Who said that Russia wouldn't supply Europe with gas, oil, wood and metals as we always did?

Over the next few years we'll be transitioning to other suppliers. You'll still have plenty of countries buying it from you, but at discounted prices. Good for China, bad for you, and bad for Europe

China is going to buy up every Russian project on the cheap and make Russia subservient to it, like they're doing in Africa

Saving face, but there's absolutely no chance of peace till Putin is in charge. Best peace to expect is going back on proxy, false flag, like in 2014+.

Russia is already pulling back from Kiev, so Ukraine isn't really "gaining" anything here.

Usdrub down once again approximately 12% for the day. Rub trading at around 83.5 per usd per yahoo finance. At this point it’s only slightly lower than it was pre war of around 75-76.

My only explanation for this is the Europeans are actively buying rubles anticipating having to pay for gas as the March deadline approaches.

I'm not sure what to think of the ruble right now. I think the Central Bank policies are working in that they prevented a collapse of the ruble. However, it's not an open market (you can't transfer Ruble to Dollars from what I understand) so it's all artificial. Perhaps it's anticipation that the war will end and sanctions will be lifted in the near future?
