I think the term Nazi is extensively overused , it has evolved considerably even though the essence remains the same.
It is just a handy term degrade people that you don't agree with when discourse and debate end either in a stalemate or when the opposition is losing the argument.

More often than not I refused to use the terminology, although the nature of it is quintessentially apt to describe certain groups of organizations and people.

It's Godwin's Law writ large. There's an underlying psychology that being associated with Nazis automatically equates with being the loser in a discussion, or in this case, the justifications for the war. I don't bring up Russian Nazis to strip their legitimacy, I bring it up to point out the hypocrisy in their claims to legitimacy.

You google where the most odious Russian neo-nazis ran to. Ded, for example, Malyuta and White Rex. Some of them are on your fancy pics.

NGL, I don't know who they are.

And when passion arises to a tipping point , we will even use it to make a blanket statement on an entire race or inhabitants of a particular country.

This is how conflict begins.

Thay are patriot, nationalist, one of the bigger nationalist group was the nazi . So they use same style , some of the nazi Idea are sharing in many country, but not all. Country love is beyond nazi Idea for them . That why ukrainien neo nazi are not Friend with Russia néo nazi

and to be clear i agree with both you and hamster here. i try not to fall afoul of godwins law (as can be evidenced extensively last year in the thread).
In this instance we all know that Ukraine is ultra nationalist. just leave it at that and move on (is what I do).

I agree.

Sorry, the other founder of Wagner: Dmitry Utkin, a.k.a. "Wagner."

Am bald, can confirm.

Well, not everyone is like that. Sarcasm is a completely normal way for people to communicate ideas or their disdain thereof.
Far more integrated?

Wouldn't fascism be a much better term?

It's certainly apt. Marriage of a cult of personality leading the nation, doling out political largess to corrupt "in" corporations, while fostering an extreme nationalism in the populace.

Ive always maintained this too. The Nazi label got watered down by such wanton use as a generalized pejorative, and Nazis in media became generic boogeymen divorced from their real life ideology and power. The more you turn them into inhuman monsters, the more you blind the world to human monstrosities. Ive long said that the real Nazis of the world don't need you to label them, they proudly wave swastikas and tattoo an SS on their neck.

and thus we wind up with a world where the NYT holds an external internal monologue about why they ask Nazis to hide their swastikas when they pose for pictures

This is much the same way how I am repelled by users that call an entire people orc's, or label all of china as dangerous. when governments and media feed a populace such hatred, of anything, it so destructive (and wrong) and it paintbrushes the world as only black or white.
