Not an honest comparison at all. Front national is anti immigration which attracts many people that are not extreme right but fed up with mass migration.

Those people are called populist because the left had to come up with a name to make them look bad.

The ones in Ukraine that are called nazis are ultra nationalists. They're the ones sporting nazi symbols and send kids to summer camps where they learn to shoot AKs.

That's why an understanding of who Stepan Bandera was and the fact that he's venerated by many Ukrainian circles is pretty crucial. You're focusing on a very narrow definition. Like I don't think the vast majority of Ukrainians are nazis but once you dig underneath and de construct some of these far right beliefs and their origin, they're pretty scary. This isn't even Russian propaganda, it's independently verifiable but other sources.

They don't consider themselves Slavs. That's the point. They use same old Nordic runes and other stuff. Russian and therefore Ukrainian history started from Norman invasion of so called Russ (cronicle Nestor in XI century says they were named Russ as well as others were named Danns, Swedes or Angles). Yet another master race.

Ukraine never existed under this name (Ukraine= Borderland) untill 1917.

/e i remember having some issues with a russian who ended in complete enrage because for him Russia and Ukraine was the same.
Which is not completely wrong after all this time, now the distances are so big there's some differences, despite decades of USRR.

Sounds more like a separation in-between the west and east, which make things worse.
