No there are not reasonable people on both sides, the very people who issued the permit are self described white nationalists. That is not a title that their opposition gave them, that is how the organizers themselves define their rally. A reasonable person does not attend a white supremacist rally to stand in unison with nazis.

So you are saying that at a protest, if part of the group starts saying hateful things, the rest of the group is morally obligated to leave? Otherwise they aren't good people?

I don't care enough about this issue to watch a bunch of videos, I just wonder if there were legitimate people there protesting the taking down of the statue who weren't hateful. The truth of what happened is separate from what the president should have said.

The Soviets fought the hardest against the Nazi's so it's kinda fitting in that sense.

I'm saying if you are attending a white nationalist rally to march in unison with people chanting nazi slogans, waving nazi flags, and giving the nazi salutes, then no you are not a good person. We're not just talking about an ordinary protest where some people who were nazis showed up. No, the very organizers of this event were Jason Kessler, the National Policy Institute, and the National Socialist Movement. If you show up to a self identified white nationalist rally to mach in unison with white nationalists, then you are not a fine person.
