I wouldn't say it's died down. The whole nation and media has been focused on Kavanaugh these past two weeks, and rightfully so.

Additionally, Mueller is likely honoring the long-held policy of the DoJ of not taking any significant action that might influence an election 60 days prior.

Mueller also has run a tight professional ship the entire time and gives no fucks about where the media is aimed for the flavor of the week

He is probably happy the attention is off of him and his team while he does his job for a few weeks

It's not like the media and twitter attention determine what Mueller is doing they just gossip about it

This is a good faith bet. The charges have to be related to a conspiracy with Russia to influence the 2016 election.
