The culture plays a huge part. But Alas America doesn't exactly have a culture.

What they have in place is a rock solid, immovable and extremely impressive ( in all sense ) National Identity. And that national identity is to be the preeminent global economical , military and political superpower never to be surpassed.
Long story short the greatest country in the world, and sad to say that will have implications on culture and countries that do not adhere to their worldviews.

And they will take a fervent missionary approach to change it for the better or worst.
