These people are out of their mind and so on ignore mostly the importance to defend ukraine against ruscists. It is the same population: typically: rural, low income, low education.
This said the global support for Ukraine will slowly decrease, but it is very possible it will stay long enought to hurt -ruscists- in irreversible way. Freedom for Russia !

I've found the original article as mentioned above. Overall I think articles like that are mostly low quality clickbait journalism that seeks to sow drama and pit groups of people against each other. Instead what they should've focused on is trying to find common ground and compromise between both groups.

Oh really, I wouldnt have guessed Finland was involved in a war during....WORLD War 2. Shocking information. Has the government provided any support for people like you who are suffering the emotional scars of war? Does reading about the Russians illegal war of aggression trigger your PTSD?

Generational war trauma. We still have ww2 veterans here and many more raised by them. We have generations that remember the following decades of bowing to the Soviets under the guise of "non-alignment". We also, unfortunately, witness racism specifically directed towards Russians, mostly in conservative and nationalist circles and older people. The vast majority of men here are conscripted and it's a good simulation of how shitty warfare is. So yeah, this society hasn't fully recovered from the war.

Maybe poking the bear isn't the best strategy if you are all so scarred by your last encounter, I'm sure the fence will keep them at bay though

I wonder if Russia has any history with foreign powers invading through Ukraine that might evoke similar feelings lol.

As an expert on WW2, could you perhaps shed some light on that?
