Low altitude drones are changing the landscape of AA needs. S-400s were designed for targets like F16s, not flying lawn mowers strapped with explosives that basically can fly at very low altitudes and cost a few bucks.

That's not really an indictment of the effectiveness or lack thereof of the S-400's but rather how drones are completely changing the landscape. If I had to guess most western AA systems similar to S-400 are in the same predicament.

Shaheed drone cost =20k

You can literally fire off 200 drones for the cost of a single AA missile. It's an unprecedented challenge in modern warfare. A few waves of these cheap drones can completely exhaust a cities air defenses.

Why should Ukraine give anything to Russia, if Russia promised them safety in Budapest deal?
How many deals Ukraine has to make with Russia?
One new deal every 5 years I suppose?
Then the Ukraine would be no more in like 15 years.
Ukrainians trusted Russians in Budapest deal, since Russians betrayed, no future deals are to be trusted with them.

No one should give anything to anyone. You are a chess piece between two super powers, they play with you and depends what happens around the world , you are the sacrificial lamb.
You can also say Russian trusted Ukraine to remain in a neutral non NATO stance. So no future deals, I am going to come in and take the part where more Russian speaking Ukrainians wants to be with us.

You need to get real.

There's nothing to "give" anymore that it a certainty, it's impossible to conceive real peace with people like Putin, his "russian empire" project, and... His allies:
CCP "piss plan" which consisted in freezing borders... Jesus is now a fentanyl dealer; endless profit for them (over Russia) and rampant war for us.

No other choice than bringing freedom to russian people, asap, and ultimately they will join the west at some point...
In-between: a possible collapse, little bit of civil war...



S400, hypersonic missiles, armata, and probably many others... All hyped, budget sucked up, sorry to tell you: seems this model doesn't work well.
I am not sure Russian Weapons sales are good.
