Sometimes you gotta stop being a pussy and punch people who deserve it.

Its truly a sign of the pussification of the country that punching a Nazi would be seen as wrong.

Today, I learned that taking an unpopular position and defending it makes you a pussy.

Punching PEOPLE is wrong when it's not in self defense. Trying to blur the line cuz Nazis is special pleading.

Yep, yep.

If everyone starts running around punching people they don't agree with, why we'd be no better than the animals.

/e I mean today it might be Nazis, but what will it be tomorrow? Evangelists? Once you start down that road, where do you draw the line.

Nah, Capitalism has done far more than communism. It was the capitalist nations putting embargos on any nation that flirted with communism that was the cause of a lot of the deaths in places like China after all..

That's historically wrong, and really an uncharacteristically stupid take from you. The Great Leap Forward took place at a time when China was literally one of the most piss poor countries on the whole planet and neither played a role in the global economy nor had the strength to act as a threatening "ideological rival" to the capitlistic West. The Cultural Revolution also didnt have any credible ties to Western policy.

The problem with antifa and their "direct action" lies mostly in the fact that a group of people with no democratic legitimization whatsoever assumes the unilateral power to define who is a Nazi, and thus deserving of a beatdown, and who isnt. They undermine the state's monopoly on the legitimate use of violence, they try to criminalize 'thoughtcrime', and they tend to use an ever-expanding definition of Nazism to justify their attempts at quashing and delegitimizing constitutional right-wing beliefs.

no no, according to little fella thor the reality is that the 'world was embargoing' their cheap plastic crap products when Mao was in charge. this 'embargo' "caused tens of millions of deaths in the name of capitalism" and had nothing to do with anything going on in China at the time. once he died everyone stopped doing that 'embargo' thing "in the name of capitalism"

lmfao!!!!!

I thought posting the USSR anthem would make it obvious. Once again I overestimate conservatives

So we agree in principal that punching Nazis is fine, its just a problem of identifying who they are.

No, that's far from the only problem with antifa. You just ignored all the points I was making.

It is a problem identifying them, but it's also a problem agreeing on a definition of what actually constiutes a nazi. Coming to a society-wide agreement (one that e.g. 80% of the population can sign off on) is very different from using the definition of far-left antifa circles. For example, a large majority of the country would presumably not consider Andy Ngo an actual nazi or deserving of a beatdown.

And like I said, it is also a problem when a group without democratic legitimization like antifa challenges the state's monopoly on the use of violence.
And on top of that, antifa is not only trying to prevent actual nazi movements from gaining strength again, they are also trying to expand the definition of nazism all the time. Antifa is not just about fighting against actual nazis, they are also about suppressing and delegitimizing constiutional right-wing beliefs and movements.
