Analogy time:

There are two big bullies in a school. One big bully finds a scrawny little kid seated next to the other big bully. He temps the scrawny kid: "If you stick a finger up that big bully's asshole, I'll give you $5".
So the poor dumb kid does just that. Suddenly the big bully who just got fingered is beating up the kid and saying "Apologize and promise not to do that again!".
The other big bully shows up again, tells the scrawny kid "Don't listen to him, take these fist knuckles and fight back with all you got" ... Doing this knowing the other big bully has a gun in their waist.

Who's fault is it the scrawny kid is getting a beating?

Why do you keep portraying the situation as if Ukraine was the aggressor who first assaulted the big bad bully next door (Russia)?

In such an analogy would you blame the first remotely agitating big bully, the dumb kid who accepted to poke the second big bully or the second big bully for the violence? Or all of them perhaps?

I honestly think its pointless. lets try another one:

A new girl joins the class. Her name is Mary. she sees a scrawy kid, called Natasha, is always hanging around Sofia. Mary and Sofia dont get on. Mary and Sofia get into a fight. Mary says she does not like Sofia and puts nails on Sofia's chair. Sofia is not impressed so she decides to put try to nails on Mary's chair. Mary goes to the teacher and complains. Poor Sofia is given out to by everyone. Mary divises a cunning plan to separate Natasha and Sofia. She gives Natasha sweets and they go on play-dates together. Natasha and Sofia slowly drift apart. Poor Sofia does not know what to do and she lashes out at Natasha. Natasha asks Mary for help. Mary says, "sure, here are some more sweets". Natasha says "...".

Usually, on a political forum, you want to find those that you can constructively engage with on the same frequencies (small % of the users and posts), and focus your energy on that.
Either that or embrace the shit show and have fun without taking it too seriously.
