Big piece on Ukraine war - but I feel like all talking points have been discussed here on this forum at lengths.
Something new for me was an interview with Ukranian presidential advisor Arestovich that openly said in 2019 that he acknowledges “that our price for joining NATO is a big war with Russia.”

Yep, the price to pay for being a truely sovereign nation, without getting elected presidents to be poisoned by Putin: to face the russian agression.
Thanks for finding it back, i posted this video earlier in this topic, several times few months ago.

I remember well what he said: to join nato (and thus being attacked) or to be absorbed in the next decade.

Japan transfers 100 military vehicles to Ukraine

"the ban on lethal weapons exports has been essentially unchanged for over 30 years."

"Now lawmakers at the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, led by Kishida, are trying to ease rules to authorize the delivery of lethal weapons to Ukraine and other nations. Proponent of the change argue that if Japan doesn’t help Ukraine, the country won’t be able to expect to receive support from partners in Europe in the case of a contingency in the Senkaku/Diaoyu Islands (which are administered by Japan but claimed by China) or Taiwan."

From what I am reading there is a large of a military buildup in Japan.

Thanks for reposting this video. I posted it last year. it is very well worth watching, and I recommend everyone watch it in full - it highlights that in 2017 Ukraine opted for a Guaranteed war with Russia as opposed to a potential absorption (for which there no guarantee of occuring, and no evidence to support).

Japan would give alot of cash anyway (but was criticized for it): From what I am understanding it is very symbolic, a bit like Swiss, and so on illustrating how this naked agression is a first since ww2.

made an edit to my above, in case anyone missed it. that interview from 2017 is very illuminating of the Ukrainian governments mindset over the last 1/2 decade, and explains (i am not sure if explain is the right word) their resigned attitude to what is happening at the moment (and for the years to come).

another metaphor

I don't remember you posted this at all, as we know: U.S bad, Meanwhile racist, Ukraine agressed Russia.

Yes I did, did you watch all of this video? the crazy thing is this video(from 2017!) is freely available for anyone to watch and it basically telegraphed the entire war 4 years before it happened. so the notion of "unprovoked war" is utterly ludicrous. While one may argue justification for war etc etc, its impossible to say unprovoked when they knew it was coming, and why (because of Nato enlargement, which he outlines in this interview).

I posted several video's but you have said you dont watch video's posted by users, or by yourself for that matter. Have you started to watch video's now ? did you not watch this video last year when I posted it? does it change your understanding or opinion of the current narrative re: "this war was unprovoked, there were no indications russia would invade". Remember, I posted this thread before the war broke out, as it was inevitable by that point.

Honestly Poland has a border with Russia, Królewiec area, and it was always full of nukes anyway.
Its the NATO that tries to be nice with Russia and doesnt put nukes next to them, but Russians never did.
Germany capital Berlin is also reachable from Russian Królewiec.
But it does make one more reason for NATO to help Ukraine stop Russia, instead of surrending to evil Russian imperialists.
