one would hope so and some may, but in general no. this store owner is probably one who will shift their views, but for the majority they'll continue to support the very social and legislative policy that gets us up to this point and then act surprised when anarchist nutjob peaceful protesters do their thing. sort of the 'why are you attacking me i wore a no person is illegal and a blm t-shirt once!!!' attitude

See Romney's infamous "47%-comment". Almost half the population is directly on indirectly depending on the government for its livelihood, and thus inclined to support the party of big government. The "more productive members of society" will always be a numerical minority, one that - ceteris paribus - should already be leaning right anyway.

Where incidents like this one could have a relevant political impact is minorities. There are tons of minority- and/or immigrant-owned small shops and businesses, and if these people were pushed to the right by the anarchist nutjobs who are destroying the modest livelihood they have built for themselves, that could cause big shifts in states like Florida or Minnesota.
