Indeed, Biden is more popular than Trump has been at any point since he started running for president in June 2015.

Almost every US president enjoys a honeymoon period at the start of his presidency. Particularly when he enjoys the fervent and servile support of the mainstream media instead of being blasted by it 24/7 like Trump was. Biden's approval ratings will get back down to earth real quick once he starts governing and enacting policies which conservative crossover voters dislike, and once progressives realize that he's a cookie cutter corporate Democrat who likes their votes, but not their ideas.

His approval ratings will almost certainly be higher than Trump's throughout his presidency. That's what happens when you're not a huge asshole.
