As population grows, mortality rate grows per year. But covid didn't make any drastic changes in mortality rates as it was said it will since January 2020

Youre just wrong lol. Theres very obvious and significant increases in excess mortality across 2020 and they correspond with covid waves. All you have to do to eliminate population growth as a factor is normalize to population. Its pretty trivial.
