Essentially, since you contracted the virus while following guidelines and recovered from it, you deem it not serious enough to reduce the burden on hospitals and the number of cases/mortality rate. Calling me an authoritarian is the same as calling Joe Biden a socialist - typical fear mongering tactic. You literally said going to rallies is potentially safer than following covid guidelines I'm legit flabbergasted . Lol, wtf is wrong with you LARPing freedom fighters??? Can't take away a little bit of your precious freedom to help humanity ?
Where did I indicate the virus is not serious? Please directly quote me. You complain that people "put words in your mouth" when directly responding to your actual posts, then you actively claim I said something I did not say?
I don't think you've gotten past your fear and anxiety to put any real thought into the virus at all. So let's start from a baseline such as the Flu. The Flu is extremely serious, and directly accounts for thousands of deaths and indirectly to tens of thousands of deaths and hundreds of thousands of hospitalizations every year. It impacts everyone from infants to the working age healthy to the elderly and people riddled with comorbidities. It's serious, absolutely serious.
Now, hospitalization and death rates among the healthy, working age population from covid are similar to that of the Flu. That's not saying that it's not a serious concern. That's not saying your personal worry and anxiety is unjustified. That's not saying that you should not take those precautions necessary to make yourself feel safer in regards to your personal health.
Nor did I say going to rallies is potentially safer than following guidelines. I said based on the numbers, rallies have a lower case and fatality rate than the national average. That could lead to a conclusion inline with anything from "safer" to "mandates and martial law aren't helping". As with most things, the answer is probably somewhere closer to the middle. For you to say I literally said that is a lie. I quote:

Now, that's not my actual conclusion, nor am I promoting that line of thought. Merely tossing it out there for you to think about.
Regarding hospitals in the US, these are for profit institutions that operate at high capacity most of the year. Their very business model relies on the majority of their beds being used. As I posted the other day, 114K beds out of ~950K staffed beds currently being utilized by covid patients isn't a "burden". It's hospitals profiting massively and maintaining capacity.
The definition of an Authoritarian is: "favoring or enforcing strict obedience to authority, especially that of the government, at the expense of personal freedom." You favor stripping people of their right to peaceably assemble, one of the most basic rights in the Bill of Rights. That is an extremely authoritarian view. Calling you authoritarian regarding this matter is not an opinion, it is a fact based on your own words.
Joe Biden is a pay for play politician. I don't recall ever calling him a socialist, merely corrupt, which applies to the vast majority of politicians. He'd be happy to support socialist policies or any other policies if he or his family makes a profit off it or it gains him supporters. Your analogy is extremely flawed and false.
