Commertializing it too much and you don't have wildlife anymore though, there is ofc a balance to be made, looking different in the US than here obiously. I do like like the moderately used libertarian approach of civilians hunting for meat within margins. And at lower number we do have more regulated hunters. I dont entirely know where the meat ends up, apart from restaurants serving it. principle remains, not wasting protein is important now, and even more in the next 30 years.
we have largescale commercial hunts, but by-and-large only for invasive species. they kill off like a million carp a year in wisconsin just to try and stop the spreading lol.
