No, but it will be used, overdramatized and the next attacks may be a false flag operations to sell future escalation for millions. My bet is someone notorious will be killed.

DYI RC planes capable of carrying a small cargo are not hard to build. I made planes as a hobby when I was in high school. Just gotta score a remote control and an engine on Aliexpress.

Right but I guess we're talking about more substantial drones to pull of this kind of attack.

Note that Putin was the target (if it's true and not a false flag) so the planners would most definitely use a capable drone.

People still defend aggressors here. Non-violent posturing is not an excuse for violence and will never be as such. But some people just want to feel special

Russia claims it was an assassination attempt on Putin by Ukraine

At this point there's really no way this doesn't escalate. The question is what forms of escalation remain for Russia short of the nuclear option. NATO powers launching attacks on the Kremlin is by far the closest we've come to world war III since the end of world war II, we're past the Cuban Missile Crisis now

And another doomsayer stirring shit up, waiting for his Nostradamus moment.

Imagine a Ruscist working hard on the details of a wrong comparison..

You can look up that information, it's well documented ;)

It very well could be, but that would beg the question of whether Russia actually stands to gain from building additional casus belli at this point.
If Putin is desperate because he actually believes he could be killed, that could drive this into nuclear conflict. But for just geopolitical scheming, Russia is already overextended in an entrenched open war, they have no need to manufacture casus belli like the gulf of tonkin. So unless we're going to jump into Tom Clancyesque grand conspiracies about ultranationalist Russians staging a false flag to force Putin's hand, uh, I don't see the benefit. So my presumption is its a real attack and Ukraine is only denying responsibility because it failed.

Russia certainly has the means and willingness to engage in false flags, I just don't see the motive

Oh but Ivan, the fence keeps the Euro refugees and the homos you despise away from Russia, too. Win-win.

My initial thought too but what Norlander said could be true (to justify a declaration of war / full mobilization)

A stadium full of people is the perfect aim. Cup of Russia finals for example

That much is plausible, if Russia follows this up with a suspiciously rapid call for full mobilization I'd probably retroactively figure its more likely false flag.

Russia says it was a double tap attack and this was the second of the two hits apparently
so much for claims about 'neutralizing' the drones. Kind of like how Gabby Giffords neutralized the gunman's bullets with her head
