BLM "protesters" target businesses in Kentucky, vandalizing and threatening them while giving them a list of demands saying they must hire black workers based on their skin color, pay protection money and pay for their "diversity training" services.

According to a press release, members of the city's Cuban community will meet outside the NuLu restaurant at 4 p.m. Sunday to support the immigrant-owned business, which "has been subject to vandalism and extortion in recent days."

The release states that La Bodeguita de Mima was forced to close July 24 during a demonstration that shut down East Market Street, at which several protesters presented Martinez with the list of demands and said he "better put the letter on the door so your business is not f*cked with."

The restaurant remained closed the next two days because "management and staff were concerned about safety," according to the release. "30+ staff members (mostly immigrants) were unable to earn a paycheck."

didn’t know peaceful protestors could exert mafia tactics and display xenophobia. cnn and wapo and the pale pasty privileged lefties here say that the cuban American community is just “a bunch of white hispanics”, and should give into the polite requests of the peaceful protestors

I used to work for a refugee resettlement agency and honestly it's incredible the negative attitudes refugees had towards blacks. Most of these attitudes were formed from inner city interactions. Essentially you had refugees from predominantly Nepal & Myanmar who were moved to the city. The agencies usually placed them in fairly cheap apartments which ended up being in majority Hispanic/Black neighborhoods. They told me stories how they would get beat up, bikes stolen, money/phone stolen. I remember the one guy from Myanmar telling me things like "black, no like" because he got his shit stolen and jumped enough times.

Thing is, these opinions weren't formed because of some superiority complex or inherent racism towards black, but rather how these refugees were treated. Sad, really.

I feel like the castle doctrine should extend to businesses in cases like this.

Root of the problem is that the state has a monopoly on violence.

What's stopping the restaurant from beating the shit out of whoever puts the list up? Government.

More people might have guns if they were for more than having an expensive hobby.
