nope, I mean this: https://voxukraine.org/en/rashism-or-why-russians-are-the-new-nazi
that is what that wiki page is based on. Enjoy reading it, it will be right up your alley.

It is the first source cited in the wiki article which contains - 115 -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruscism#References
But if you want to be clever: most of sources are post-ukraine agression by russia, => i would check pre-war sources first.

I told you 10 times already: it's the tabloid websites with sexually suggestive content in margins / tabs / frames that can cause problem and be reported.

Lol, what?! ^_^

There literally was a major pro-Western political movement in Ukraine going back to at least 2004, when the so-called Orange Revolution ousted the pro-Russian president and left the Russians seething.

So you don't know that Russia leased it's naval base in Sevastopol from Ukraine??

Quote (Black XistenZ @ Apr 27 2023 09:01pm)
Your arguments are all over the place. Geostrategic concerns with regard to NATO expansion have no logical connection to concerns about the minority rights of ethnic Russians.
And again: the "naval base" talking point is moot because Russia already controlled Sewastopol before February 2022...

All over the place? Complete BS

Finland =/= Ukraine it's clear as day

Secondly NATO does not recognize Crimea to be Russian, therefor the status of Crimea is that it's occupied by Russia

What do you think would happen when Ukraine becomes a NATO member and insists that Crimea be returned to Ukraine??

Don't you understand the complications? Of course Russia is NOT going to accept Ukraine to become NATO member.

It has been proven that Ukraine does not has more far right than Russia or U.S, posted here: maps with % far right vote.
In the same way you can clearly read it in the wikipedia that:
- Russia using far right militia in occupied territories.
- Ukraine had some azov military body which was largely dismantled.

Your dishonesty has no limits: i deleted my post because it gives you ground to continue to argue about Russian resolution whch has nothing to do with Ukraine aggression.
But you continue to circle jerk on it. You don't deserve ground for this.

THIS is the post where you claimed Azov to be largely dismantled, Bolded it for you

Don't link to another post where you suddenly say something different

NB: it has not be dismantled, i used the wrong word: its controversial elements have been largely removed
wikipedia:
"by the end of 2014, most far-right fighters left the regiment. The rest of the right-wing radicals who openly articulated their views were deliberately “cleansed” by the new regiment command in 2017" and that several Jewish members (including one Israeli citizen) are currently serving in the regiment.

correct, as i posted earlier pro-western politics in Ukraine are as old as Ukraine itself. they go up and down in flux but always existed.

why it shocks people that the grand kids of the people starved to death by Russia might not all love Russia is beyond me.

Has nothing to do with it, it's about geo-politics and the FACT that this trash war is not worth the costs (already and counting ;) )

It's simply mindboggling that people don't understand that a country like Russia is not going to accept that a military alliance (that has been expanding for decades) comes rolling in to take over Ukraine.

You changed your statement in a later post and that post has been edited...

I pointed to your original post but anyways good that you for once admit something, Azov was not dismantled, it just suffered a lot of combat losses and many were taken prisoner after the battle for Mariupol.

You didn't read the post where i corrected myself about this "dismantled". Sorry for ruining your awesome plan. ^_^

Let's stop here else it will degenerate again. "When Russia determines that the Black Sea is vital for them, then it is for them." after all....

/e It's called Ruscism

Another trash post.

That's Russia's naval base in Sevastopol, not NATO's. What do you not understand.

Of course it's important to them it's common sense

Russia is a country with a population of just 145m people, horrible demographics and an economy the size of Italy. Do you seriously think 45 million additional people would turn them into a great power again which can compete with the U.S., the EU, China or India? If that truly is Putin's ambition, it's a hopeless one. The ship for Russia being a great power has sailed once and for all when they chose to invade a much smaller country, but then utterly failed to steamroll them.

The EU has 450 million people, it is the difference between 500 versus 145 (Belarus and Ukraine join the EU) and 450 versus 200 (Russia annexes Belarus and Ukraine under the Union State). Their horrible demographics are precisely why they need to expand to survive.

Would it make Russia a superpower? No, but it would give Russia breathing room and strategic flexibility. It's pretty easy to see how a pro-American Ukraine, lord forbid Kazakhstan, would place Russia in a pretty hopeless geopolitical position. It's not great for them either way, but at that point they might as well kiss independence goodbye.

everyone understands that, but the logical conclusion is that Russia is mad it can't sell mafia type "security" to it's neighbors that NATO isn't invading anyways, and it lowers the number of nations Russia can sell weapons to.

the problem for russia isn't that they're encircled and will have to surrender, they have too many nukes to ever be toppled like Iraq.

their entire position is that they're mad their military industrial complex, which is a noteworthy part of their economy, is being threatened. and the same people who are anti-USA military industrial complex regularly ignore this.

if you disagree answer a simple question, why is NATO moving east an issue for Russia? what actual threat does it pose? you can't threaten a nation with 1,000 nukes.

I think you know the answer. Crimea has been Russian until 1954, it was given to Ukraine to celebrate their 300th anniversary https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimea

Savastopol is Russia's year round ice free port home to their Black Sea fleet.

The East of Ukraine (South-East to be precise including Crimea) is home to a large ethnic Russian minority and they, in fact, are pro-Russian
