I'm sure that if Antifa does this the next time a Republican is elected President, our resident down-players will be remarkably consistent and downplay the violence.

I'm just not sure why it has to be all or nothing. You could acknowledge the violence without treating this like some biblical event and use hyperbolic strong verbs spamming them headline after headline for weeks to paint some narrative to sway the masses.

You're being obtuse. Obviously it's strange that a middle-aged officer who was assaulted during a violent insurrection at the Capitol happened to die of a stroke the next day. I understand the coroner assessed it was from natural causes... that's the strange part.

Maybe you could think about the absurdity of this popular CNN pic that everyone on the right made fun of and apply it to the current conversation.

In what world is it strange that a middle-aged man died of a stroke? It's a leading cause of death.

A better question is how the New York Times got this story so wrong. A fire extinguisher, and then bear spray, at what point do you need to correct a journalist who is obviously relying on untrustworthy sources?

literally every single trumptard, from congress to trailerpark, from fox news to pard: "b-b-but what about antifa?!". peak whataboutism...

because opposing fascism, racism, and discrimination is the same as trying to overturn a democratic election because your cult leader is a sore loser...

It's 100% the same because in the end, you are destroying things and going against the law to prove a point when it been done countless time without violence.

Just think bout the peace and love march post ww2.

Just look at all the looting that goes unreported because cops don't arrest people because of it.

Mostly black looters. Are they doing it to oppose racism by looting their own poor communities?

If you believe that law enforcement in the United States is "fascist", in any sense of the word, then you honestly need to be committed, and have no business voting or otherwise offering your opinions in the public sphere.

Is it really hard to believe that people would make that mistake based on video evidence? It's like being upset that people believed that Chauvin's knee was on Floyd's neck and he died of asphyxiation. It really isn't unreasonable for people to believe their eyes and once that's baked in, it's almost impossible to convince people otherwise.

The coroner Report is easy to dissect actually

He/she operated on what they knew. Based on everything it was likely this cop was gonna have a stroke at some point with his history. You would have to go out of your way to prove that the events lead to an increase in likelihood for stroke otherwise it is all speculation. The coroner doesn’t know what the cops blood pressure were doing the day of the insurrection. Coroner doesn’t know if he went into afib, a heart rhythm which increases likelihood of stroke , during that event.

What if the cop called off work, got cut off by a driver and got heated. As a result BP spiked and he suffered a stroke. Is the guy who cut him off responsible. Well realistically yes he ‘probably’ contributed to the event. Is a coroner going to rule that case man slaughter? No. The line is more gray than people realize

If I have a stroke from reading drunkbob or dark head posts can my wife sue them for man slaughter?

I know the assisted livings with happy hours.
