reading that now, ty.
does anyone have the precise text (in english, sry i cant read french my bad)? I note that even in this topic it looks like the text is relevant here (as always).
/edit ah, found it. reading now.
OK read all that. I did not know about this resolution. its quite depressing. To my mind the EU and the US would have been better off agreeing to it but then abstaining or veto'ing any knock on actions that Russia may, or may not have, attempted.
its a bit like Ukraine in Nato, If Russia's red line was Ukraine in Nato, and the US and the EU said that Russia was going to invade regardless, why not simply say Ukraine will not join Nato and see if that would avert the war. The US refused to do so and we will now never know. Similarly, why would the EU and US not condemn Nazism and deal with any consequences thereafter (if any). They were too busy not agreeing with a draft resolution made by Russia, and it is quit damning on them in hindsight. I say hindsight but it is a perpetual resolution that they ever abstain or vote no on. feels bad. Who am I, Where am I, that the EU wont sign off on this draft blows my mind.
I guess I should read more draft resolutions.
