I am certainly not the equivalent of "uniformed irishes" this is extremely insulting... Maybe next you will claim i'm a pro-russian yellow vest ?
"believe that the war in Ukraine was unprovoked" ? This is as productive as a "who's fault"... There's always reasons or explanations.

If it was "provoked" then... By the russian pressure to put puppet politics in Ukraine since early 2000's at least.
https://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-europe-43611547
or To fund dozens of political parties (like start ups) in Ukraine during the last two decades... All this was definitely a long, deeply irritating, provocation
Who provoked the invasion of chechnya ? Can you consider that it was planned since a long time by the Kremlin?

Are you aware that ex-ussr countries like Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania are spending more than 30-40% of their military budgets to help ukraine ? Do you think they do that to protest against the "provocations of the U.S" ? Or are they forced to ?

have a good read of what he said here. He is admitting that there were contributing factors to the invasion, which to my mind is a good starting point. He has also rightly pointed out that the previous government in ukraine, prior to 2014, was a puppet pro-russian government (which we should also be able to accept), and he also aluded to the funding of politicals parties, which is also factual. in this regard he provides a counter balance. while his format of response may grate nevertheless he DOES represent a viewpoint held by many people.

imagine doing a poll "was the ukraine war unprovoked yes/no". you can guess the results.

The only reason you're posting in this topic is because you hate Russia (and China) it's 100% obvious. You even call entire groups of people orcs and such which is racist and therefor against the forum rules.

It's not possible to engage in meaningful debate with you, the only narrative you're interested in is "Russia bad" without considering a whole string of events that led up to this conflict and closing your eyes for all war crimes committed by the West because "Russia bad" is the only thing that counts for you.

When people debate here and it's not what you want to hear (Russia bad) you proceed to call those people bootlickers, Putin enablers, you do everything possible to derail the debate, shit on sources and engage in full on trash posting and that's why you're receiving all that FLAK, just in case you're unaware why.

When people give you some of your own medicine you start crying about "personal attacks" and report everyone which doesn't help you and just shows everyone what you're made of ;)

There is billions of dollars invested in providing a specific view of this war to western audiences, I really don't need a Frenchman who can't speak English to find an opposing view.

I do respect your commitment to dialogue but I just don't see the value in it in this instance. Russia influencing Ukraine is not the same as the US influencing Ukraine, just as Russia influencing Mexico would be different.

I'm sure if we were discussing things in French it would be less of a problem but he just is not capable of discussing the type of things we talk about here with his level of English.

Stalking then personal attacks based... This is what you and others did and are eventually doing constantly. Russian, Chinese, Iranian, North Korean, Dictators or "Elite groups" are not a viable alternative.
Constantly claiming NATO & related are "invading" russia is so pathetic. Always swapping the discussion to U.S Iraq war 20 years ago is pityful. Yes sometimes i named orcs in direction of the russian soldiers, especially those who did war crimes.
Cluless trolls.

You should look up the definition of stalking and produce evidence that I'm stalking you. You will have to prove that I follow you in every sub-forum you post, that I sent you PMs, and so on. The fact of the matter is that I've never engaged with you in any other sub-forum other than this one, have never sent you a PM or anything and this sub-forum happens to be PARD where users can post and engage in debate and quote each other. If you can't handle that you should post elsewhere and good luck trying to convince anyone that I'm stalking you, lol.

No one has claimed that Russia or Iran or NK are elite groups, you're literally making this shit up right now.

Ongoing NATO expansion is a fact, it's well documented and the last round of NATO expansion aims to reel in Ukraine and Georgia, countries that have a shit GDP of a couple hundred billion dollars, are nests of corruption and have high crime rates. The only reason that NATO wants those countries is because of their geographic locations and Russia ain't buying it which is logical and should be very obvious to everyone at this point. It's wild that you're still trying to argue otherwise, the only reason is that you hate Russia, you're applauding all escalations, weapons deliveries and so on which only have made matters worse.

The only sensible thing for the West would be to accept that Russia and China are countries that are here to stay, they're not going to roll over because a bunch of "progressives" in the West don't like them. When that's out of the way things could hopefully get back to normal soon, sanctions lifted and so on.

Russian, Chinese, Iranian, North Korean, Dictators or [their related] "Elite groups" are not a viable alternative.
Aka high ranked CCP, Russian Oligarches, Mafia, FSB heads, Iranian military & Clerics etc... You can't make that shit up...

I can explain it to you, but I can’t understand it for you:

Russia bravely protecting itself from terrible Nato agression:
Russian missile hits Zaporizhzhia apartments

At a joint press conference in January 2003, Putin responded to a question about Ukraine. “Ukraine is an independent sovereign state, and it will choose its own path to peace and security”

The invasion of Ukraine may also have violated international agreements that Russia is a party to, including:
The 1975 Helsinki Final Act, in which the USSR promised not to violate the "territorial integrity" of other signees, including through the use of force. Russia and Ukraine were both created as a result of the USSR's breakup.
The 1994 Budapest Memorandum, in which Russia, the United States, and the United Kingdom agreed "to respect the independence and sovereignty and the existing borders of Ukraine."
The Minsk Agreements, which are a pair of ceasefire agreements signed by Russia and Ukraine relating to the conflict between those countries that began in 2014

We're talking about the latest round of NATO expansion crossing Russia's red line you drone, we're not talking about the situation 1949 - 1989. Nothing you posted has anything to do with the present conflict.

And fatality meme my ass. How's that excuse (those countries wanted it) gonna make Russia accept everything that a military alliance does at it's border?

You don't understand anything about the present conflict, you're just a "progressive" drone claiming moral high ground and you hate Russia and that shit attitude only works contra productive in geo-politics.
