Zelensky inviting Xi to go Ukraine .
I don't think he will go , maybe Zelensky will go to China or find a place like Singapore / Malaysia etc etc to meet.

On a side note , the DPP ruling party in Taiwan just made an official statement that Taiwanese is not Chinese and on a deeper meaning saying that they are not Han Chinese.
The ex Taiwanese President went to China for a visit.
So things are getting heated up .

My predictions for Taiwan / China conflict.
It is possible that the DPP will not win next years election in Taiwan and the KMT will take over. So if the KMT wins the next year election and manage to hold on for two terms which is 8 years.
Then my prediction for 2030 - 2031 Taiwan / China conflict will make more sense .

There is no reason for China not to meet with Zelensky. It might not be in Ukraine but the meeting to my mind will definitely happen, from the Chinese perspective anyway.

When the leader of the irish government discussed exploring peace in northern ireland, his advisors told him it was a waste of time. He still did it anyway and together with leaders in England and Northern Ireland and in America we had peace in northern ireland when no one thought there was a remote chance of peace.

so in this regard w/e you think about china motives or chances of peace, i applaud them for trying.

read that, it is what it is. the sun is going to rise in the morning and there is going to be serious trouble between china and taiwan.

I am really struggling to understand the ukraine and taiwan strategy here. would love to see Russia and China giving nuclear weapons to Cuba and looking at the collective western hypocrisy.

as much as that will be fun to watch it will be counter productive.

It doesn't help at all. It will be world wide destruction so as to speak.

Einstein once said that the fourth world war will be fought with sticks and stones. And in this particular area, the Indians and Chinese are quite experienced .

There are no nuclear missiles in any of the eastern NATO alliance countries. There wasn't even NATO troops in the Baltics until Russia invaded Crimea.
NATO defence spending and readiness was basically a shell of what it was during the cold war. Research the peace dividend.

The argument of Putins that NATO or Ukraine in NATO was a threat to Russia that justifying this war of choice, is totally debunked at this point. To see you come full circle in supporting Russia's invasion is pretty pathetic and a disgrace.

Oh. I'll also take Kaliningrad and Iskander nuclear warheads for 500 Alex.

Posting in a pro-genocide safe space thread.

Impossible to know the specific strategy but I think there are benefits to the US in escalating the situation in Ukraine.

The US has to justify its use of force, it has the military capability to do just about whatever it wants but it is limited by public and international opinion more than anything, at least that is the lens I view it through.

The situation in Ukraine gives them an opportunity to get their economy on a war footing before they are in an actual war. I'd point to the US and its allies all ramping up arms production as an example. They are doing this to defend Ukrainian sovereignty, it would not seem quite as moral if the reason was "because we plan on a war with china".

They are also breaking down international supply lines and rebuilding them in ways that will insulate them more from supply chain issues when/if a confrontation with China does happen.

Somewhat related to the supply line point, it is causing countries to choose a "side" in the war between China and the US, they are essentially drawing the battle lines. I'd point to Africa, the Middle East and South/Central America as examples of that happening, a lot of things happening very quickly.

Finally, it is worth considering what is being sent to Ukraine and what it means. If Poland sends 10 tanks to Ukraine, the Polish army then has to buy or produce 10 more tanks to maintain operational efficiency and NATO cohesion. So US/NATO gets to burn off all its old cold war era equipment, replace it all with new and better equipment and US/NATO arms manufacturers will make huge profits.

Oh and LNG profits probably a nice bonus as well, get Europe off the Russian teat and make money while doing it.

Wow this was long sorry

Sounds like the US is going from strength to strength. Wonder when this total collapse of Western hegemony is meant to happen?
