I personally think that he sees an element of users questioning the main stream narrative provided in the news and he is outraged that I, as the OP, enable parties he is in disagreement with, to post their views, whether those views are factual or not. I have always stated that you cannot have a debate if everyone is in agreement. While I try to steer people away from the far left/far right and closer to the center, this is construed, for want of better expressions, as appeasement or collaborating, with those views that he is diametrically opposed to.

It's like having a transgender argument and debate.

moving on now:

Irish (state) News: Russian forces making no headway in Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Ukaine says

Russian forces are relentless in their attempts to capture the bombed-out eastern Ukrainian towns of Bakhmut and Avdiivka but were not making progress, Ukraine's military has said, despite a pro-Moscow official saying the Russians are advancing. The two towns along with other communities in the industrial Donetsk region are at the epicentre of Russia's attacks, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said in a statement.

"The enemy continues its assault on the city of Bakhmut. However, our defenders courageously hold the city, repel numerous enemy attacks," the General Staff said, adding that Ukrainian forces had fended off 57 Russian attacks on Bakhmut and other towns. Britain's defence ministry said Russian forces had made only "marginal progress" in an attempt to encircle Avdiivka and had lost many armoured vehicles and tanks.

British Ministry of Defence "The illegal and unprovoked invasion of Ukraine is continuing."

A Guardian (England) Dump of News:

Volodymyr Zelenskiy has said that Russian president Vladimir Putin is an “informationally isolated person” who had “lost everything” over the last year of war. “He doesn’t have allies,” Zelenskiy said, adding that it was clear to him that even China was no longer willing to back Russia, despite Xi Jinping’s recent visit to Moscow.

Zelenskiy suggested that Putin’s announcement shortly after Xi’s visit that he would move tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus, closer to Nato territory, was meant to deflect from the fact that the Chinese leader’s visit did not go well. Putin said the move was a counter to Britain’s decision to provide more depleted uranium ammunition to Ukraine. Belarus has pinned the move as being a response to Nato aggression on its borders.

Zelenskiy said Ukraine needed 20 Patriot batteries to protect against Russian missiles, and even that may not be enough “as no country in the world was attacked with so many ballistic rockets”. He added that a European nation sent another air defence system to Ukraine, but it didn’t work and they “had to change it again and again”. He did not name the country.

Amnesty International (story picked up by Australian broadcaster):

Outrage over Russia's invasion of Ukraine last year has exposed the West's "double standards" towards human rights abuses throughout the world, Amnesty International said on Tuesday.

In its annual world report for 2022, Amnesty pointed to what it described as the West's silence on Saudi Arabia's rights record, repression in Egypt and ------'s treatment of the ------------.

"The West's formidable response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine underscored double standards, exposing in comparison how inconsequential their reactions have been to so many other violations of the UN Charter," said Amnesty secretary general Agnes Callamard as she presented the group's world report in Paris.

well done on the edit, but your flaming was already reported ( referred to me as a piece of shit then edited his post ).

Do you not realise that a debate has opposing views and that ultimately the purpose is to debate?

You are a POS as evidenced by your celebrating a post in your topic by someone supporting a genocide.
If your upset that I'm pointing that out, feel free to continue reporting.

thats Dark Dizzy XD

That short video refers to the potato famine in Ireland which specifically affected the poorest in Ireland who starved to death.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Famine_(Ireland)

snippet:

The famine was a defining moment in the history of Ireland,[3] which was part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 1801 to 1922. The famine and its effects permanently changed the island's demographic, political, and cultural landscape, producing an estimated 2 million refugees and spurring a century-long population decline.[19][20][21][22] For both the native Irish and those in the resulting diaspora, the famine entered folk memory.[23] The strained relations between many Irish and their ruling British government worsened further because of the famine, heightening ethnic and sectarian tensions and boosting nationalism and republicanism both in Ireland and among Irish emigrants around the world. English documentary maker John Percival said that the famine "became part of the long story of betrayal and exploitation which led to the growing movement in Ireland for independence."

If the Ukraine conflict brought Europe together then an argument that the policies of successive western governments, led by the US, is accelerating ties between Russia & China, and Russia and Iran (I have no clue on the relationship of China and Iran). India is also not buying into alot of the western rhetoric apparently. The problem here is that this so-called "axis of evil" is not something that can be defeated militarily and in this regard this encapsulates the expression "we are living in dangerous times".

All of this points to a cold/hot war and rising prices for everything in the short-medium term (0-15 years), everywhere, noting the break down of globalisation (the open doors policy on trade which existed here to fore) is a real thing.

In england you see what happens when you are no longer a member of a large trading block- rising cost of living, more people struggling - that scenario is effectively going to play out now, globally, everywhere. The Chinese Belt and Road initiative would mitigate alot of this, somewhat, for China and those that remain closely linked to it with trade.
