Strokes are acute events. Old guy has sex, his heart races, has a stroke. The stroke doesn't happen a day later after he had sex. If the cop was stressed by something at the protest which triggered a stroke you'd probably see the symptoms manifest fairly soon after the act not a day later. Olympics worthy mental gymnastics on display.

This is a way too simplistic view of a stroke

Strokes are progressive and fall into acute , sub acute , chronic categories. The specific times of each of these vary from hours to days to months. It also depends on where in the brain the stroke was

It also widely depends on ischemic stroke vs hemorrhagic stroke

Your post sex hypertensive stroke example are usually from underlying aneurysms, yes those will progress quickly. They are a fairly uncommon stroke when comparing all strokes

Sure, but I don't really have a reason to distrust the coroner here. If there was any evidence that this stroke was triggered by something specifically that day, I feel like he'd be competent enough to make that connection. It's not like he's some political figure with skin in the game to rule the death one way or the other.

He died of a stroke brought on by natural causes, as per the coroner. In what way is that strange?

It's correct to say that there was a lot of violence on January 6th, which thankfully only claimed the life of one participant, and at the same acknowledge that the vast majority of protesters were not engaged in violent acts.

The chief medical officer said that “everything that transpired played a role in his condition” the condition that ultimately killed him.

Ya except his report could be used in a manslaughter trial so he wouldnt say without 100% confidence :bonk:

Also imma just add my 2 cents (I am actually a physician who works at a stroke center), since everyone other non medical is adding theirs

This man had an ischemic brain stem stroke

Ischemic meaning due to lack of blood flow to the brain stem, happens due to:
-stricture/plaques in arterial supply causing decreased blood flow
-plaque break from a larger vessel that feeds blood vessels that then supply the brain stem (emboli)

likely a combination of both of the above points vs just the emboli.

No doubt the patient had some underlying deficits ie calcified arteries, plaque build up, etc and likely was a ticking time bomb.

However it is widely known that BLood pressure fluctuations especially increased blood pressures, increase incidence of embolic phenomenon.

Now I don’t know the specific timeline on when he died. Nor do I have access to the case or imaging details. If he went to the hospital and received an MRI you can deduce from that the timing of the stroke. However typically these are acute -subacute and ischemic/embolic strokes are progressive vs like hemorrhagic strokes that are instant deficits.

Can you say with 100% certainty that it wasn’t going to happen anyway, no.

Was it going to happen anyway at some point? Most likely yes.

If he had elevated BPs the days prior to his death(if this is the accurate timeline because I actually don’t know) would that increased risk of embolic and stroke in the next 1-3 days, certainly yes.

Really makes you think.

You're right I'm convinced. The cop was actually murdered and the coroner purposefully ruled by natural causes because he didn't want to testify. Why go for the simple logical explanation, when we can come up with conspiracy theories that once again, seem to favor the side that is trying to paint this on the same scale as events like 9/11.

I'm sure that if Antifa does this the next time a Republican is elected President, our resident down-players will be remarkably consistent and downplay the violence.

The coroner Report is easy to dissect actually

He/she operated on what they knew. Based on everything it was likely this cop was gonna have a stroke at some point with his history. You would have to go out of your way to prove that the events lead to an increase in likelihood for stroke otherwise it is all speculation. The coroner doesn’t know what the cops blood pressure were doing the day of the insurrection. Coroner doesn’t know if he went into afib, a heart rhythm which increases likelihood of stroke , during that event.

What if the cop called off work, got cut off by a driver and got heated. As a result BP spiked and he suffered a stroke. Is the guy who cut him off responsible. Well realistically yes he ‘probably’ contributed to the event. Is a coroner going to rule that case man slaughter? No. The line is more gray than people realize

If I have a stroke from reading drunkbob or dark head posts can my wife sue them for man slaughter?

World Star level beat downs can't lead to stroke.
