The most flawed candidate in history got elected in 2016... so I don't know that normal rules apply. I think in the primary Warren and Sanders cancel each other out, and Kamala ends up battling Biden for the top spot.
The economy is doing great... but I don't know that Trump voters will have the same enthusiasm as they did in 2016. You can say keep American great, but it's not like life has changed significantly for all those voters in PA, MI, and WI. I think Kamala can win.
But I'm wrong about every prediction I make, so there's that.
The most flawed candidate in history is Hillary Clinton - my proof being that she LOST the election to Trump.
That being said - I agree with Trump has work to do in the key electoral states to win again. I think it'll boil down to the segment of voters who were so turned off by Trump/Clinton that they either stayed home and didn't vote, voted 3rd party, or begrudgingly picked a side like pulling a band aide of a hairy arm.
I think Joe Biden gives (D) the best hope to capture that group of people. He's a proven commodity with his track record with Obama. He'll get the Obama endorsement in the primaries if he pulls the trigger which will be the kiss of death to any other (D) candidate. I'd go so far as to say he'd be the slight favorite to beat trump heads up.
