There are security interests of permanent UN Security Council members and their Allies - who ultimately bend international laws and play realpolitik while largely ignoring the boos from the cheap seats. MSM is overwhelmingly dominated by pro-American view du jour whatever that might be. If Azov Nazis will turn all Osama Bin Laden after the war and will start blowing up stuff in Europe/US - I’m sure Western MSM will quickly paint them black and throw them under the bus.

US has the biggest advantage right now as it stands with unprecedented financial, military and propaganda (soft) power. I don’t expect anyone would be able to challenge US or US protectorates (EU/Israel) actions directly for the time being absent of a serious internal collapse/civil war domestically in the US.

Neither can US seriously challenge UN Security Council members head on - hence the proxy plays we observe now - aimed at handicapping potential threats to US domination via soft power or third party actions (who blew up Nord Stream again?).

As has rightfully noted - Americans need to be “sold” on why they are engaging in a proxy fight abroad. “War on communism” worked great and supported a bunch of nice coups all across the world in Africa/Asia and so on. Then came “war on drugs” with exciting coups / invasions in Panama, Equador and so on. Afghanistan/Iraq was sold under the guise of “war on terror”. Current stance of “fighting the ruskies” just doesn’t hit the same - therefore it doesn’t have bipartisan support.

I’m really not sure where this is going. I asked my good friend in Singapore (where I lived for some time) what he thinks - he literally told me: “White people killing each other. Bad for business”
