I keep getting into trouble because i use big words or discuss complex situations (read: the war in Ukraine). my read on the above is ~

Btw I don't see Chinese evangelizing others about how good and best their system is, that only happens with the totally functional democracies where the biggest public debates is about trans in toilets, your Twitter will be removed if you say the wrong thing, and you get to vote for some dude beholden to some corporation who owns the media you watch. :)


China is not sermonising to other countries why their political system is better. Rather they are laughing at the wests political systems which to their mind are a quagmire of ineptitude, while they plough their way inexorably towards year 2100 and world supremacy.

It is increasingly “likely” that Belarus will enter the conflict, a NATO military official said on Monday.

“Putin needs support. Anything would help,” the official explained.

A Belarusian opposition source said that Belarusian combat units are ready to go into Ukraine as soon as the next few days, with thousands of forces prepared to deploy. In this source’s view, this will have less of an impact militarily than it will geopolitically, given the implications of another country joining the war.

A senior NATO intelligence official said separately the alliance assesses that the Belarusian government “is preparing the environment to justify a Belarusian offensive against Ukraine.”

They're not Christian, but evangelizing in the US is just a reflection of the Christian system we built. its all about a false sense of moral superiority in both cases.

yes, Belarus entering the war is inevitable. Putin does not have enough men. He wants to keep it conventional but Russia simply cant cope with the sheer volume of military aid that is being pumped into the Ukraine by the West. Belarus therefore will, to my mind, be pulled into the war kicking and screaming (they have a useless army and this will be very unpopular in Belarus, and may destabilize the government there). i.e. My understanding is that Belarus will do whatever Putin tells it to do (but ferdia its an independant country - lets not have that arguement, again). The western media response "OMG Belarus ALSO invading Ukraine", in all its forms, is very predictable.

i understand that he is not referring to religion but that he is referring to china convincing the west that the chinese model of government is better then the wests. see also #2472. afaik china is doing a good job of literally wiping churches off the aerial map, in china.

Interesting that the state propagandists have altered their line to 'creating land corridors' from the original plan

Attacking NATO, which spends 10x the amount on defence, would be suicide for the Russians when they can't even take Ukraine easily. They're not stupid, they know it, but the people they're peddling propaganda to don't

we have seen this pattern before, they are at a point where they have to make more and more aggressive statements to keep things going
