Shooting in Austin today at a protest in the past few hours
the initial reports from eyewitnesses and media are:

• BLM protesters march into the street and block traffic at a busy intersection while chanting
  
• A blue car goes around a turn and stops without hitting anyone, blaring its horn
  
• BLM mob immediately surrounds it and starts pummeling the car and beating on it
  
• One guy in the mob walks up to it carrying a rifle
  
• Driver opens fire out his window with his own gun, multiple rounds of gunshots can be heard in vehicle, unclear if just the driver opened fire or also the guy with the rifle
  
• Guy with rifle is shot and killed, driver escapes and is cooperating with police

identified as Garrett Foster, he was regularly seen at the Austin protests open carrying that AK of his and taking care of his quadrapelegic, wheelchair bound wife so she could participate in the marches. He was apparently carrying it (the gun, not his wife) when he approached the vehicle swarmed by the rioters

Socialist and Ilhan Omar's close ally Alondra Cano (who paid Omar's ex-husband hush money in a no-show job to stay quiet during the marriage scandals) gave a bold new proposal:
Cano proposed cutting $500,000 out of the police budget and giving that to the "Minnesota Freedom Fighters", a heavily armed black-only militia group acting as unlicensed private security, like the CHOP 'security' was.
Under Cano's suggestion, these guys would replace the police, without any of the oversight or regulations or transparency:
