Yeah, I stopped because he asked for evidence that it's not possible for Biden to give. He's responded that the Delaware records don't contain personnel files, and why the hell would they? They're at a university, they're not at an HR department. Meanwhile he asked the relevant office to release the relevant records, and there's not much else he can do to "provide evidence".
Honestly, I don't really care about the veracity of these claims. There's nothing thats going to come out after 27 years that will definitively prove it happened. I'm most interested in how Biden handles the accusation, and he has handled it better than I've seen other people in similar circumstances handle it. Far better than Trump or Kavanaugh.
I do care about the veracity of the claims, not because it'll change my vote, but because it's important to hold leaders accountable for their behavior. I don't want to ever even come close to adopting the Trump cult standard for leaders.
On the other hand, you're right. There's only so much evidence that can come out after all these years. This allegation is credible for sure, but there's enough evidence against it and the person who made it that it's essentially a stalemate. If I were a partisan hack, I would relentlessly hammer the inconsistencies, the weirdness of some of the accuser's behavior and statements. But I don't.... just because victims are quirky politically or inconsistent at times doesn't make them entirely illegitimate.
In addition, as you say, it's worth looking at how the accused handles the accusation. Biden has done so with grace and transparency, even if he was initially slow to respond. It's just a small sign of what's to come in a Biden administration. We'll get back to adults running the show, not whiny, incompetent toddlers.
