even though the source is a tabloid (and exaggerates details), the following article is an interesting read on the topic of reality versus depictions of all non-whites as noble savages and victims by the media and film industry.

Well, he wasn't the first one to discover America. Just the first name that went in our history books. And it did result into the largest genocide I can think of in human history. Am I wrong on that one ?
