The city council here voted to get rid of Columbus Day and replaced it with Indigenous People's Day. I don't really have a problem with people celebrating the latter but not at the expense of Columbus. How can you criticize a man for his flaws while glossing over some of the horrific things Natives did? It seems pretty hypocritical to me.

Well, he wasn't the first one to discover America. Just the first name that went in our history books. And it did result into the largest genocide I can think of in human history. Am I wrong on that one ?
