Once a country develops nukes they can do pretty much nearly whatever they want.
So its important to attack and disarm them before they actually have their nukes.
Countries like Iran, like North Korea they try to build nukes, its not a secret. I wish the world decided to attack and disarm them.
The world would be much more safer place in the future.
I understand why USA no more attacks countries like North Korea, they simply can't do everything and police the world themselves. other countries like China should participate in global security, instead of just short term politics.
North Korea is Asian, China continent, they should solve this problem imo.

Trump would have given Russia half Ukraine, as a deal, a compromise.
Then in 5 years Putin asks again for more, and he gets another half.
Then in another 5 years Putin asks for Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. Donald Trump makes a compromise and give them Lithuania and Latvia.
Then in another 5 years Putin asks for Poland and Czechia and Hungary.
As a compromise is given a Poland.
Do you see where it goes?
This is how Russian make politics: they keep asking more and more.
In the 18th century this is how they took Poland. Piece by piece.
Once it was clear they are lying, it was too late to stop them.

No, they would fight, although they would lose quickly the war without USA/west assistance.

NATO tries to steal Ukraine from Russia. Russia seizes it back. That's just a return to status quo ante, or in this hypothetical, not even that- NATO would still be seizing west ukraine

Russia isn't asking for 'more and more', they're asking for what was taken from them. When has Russia actually tried to expand its sphere of influence beyond the soviet era? They're not trying to seize poland or hungary lmao

I have made no secret of the fact that I do not like Trump and that he further (Mitch McConnell and co. were doing it long before him) wrecked the foundations or pillars of democracy in the united states. However, he WOULD have been able to come to an arrangement with Putin. Now, everyone can deride Trump for selling Ukraine out "appeasement" in its truest form, but I would like to see what everyone thinks of this in 2 years time. And sure you can say but ferdia you cant have a crystal ball and know how the war will end, so lets wait and see. Would Ukraine have been better off had they allowed the places they that bombed for years to be subsumed into Russia (or better yet, not bombing those places in the first place and tried to live with Russia on their doorstep) or are they better off trusting the west to enable them to retake all of Ukraine (including Crimea), at whatever the cost.

There is an old saying from old China. Well, people will hate this phrase.

On top of your statement, Trump might have slowed down the Chinese advance for at least 10 to 15 years.

That is the chinese ethos. I have read and watched enough about that ethos to accept both the positives and negatives of it. They are literally flummoxed by the idea of an affair or some corruption being the reason for a competent official resigning/being sacked. But yes, most people would probably just say "China, lol".
