Re; Fox News. I see this as Irony. However this goes back to - Fox News provides an alternative slant to, for want of a better expression, established media narrative. In this regard American media really does have different views, provided you watch both Fox and the alternates. Its part of the sadness of america that each side (republican; democrat) cant (normally) agree on common laws/incentives for all people, in america (because that would be communist, ofc). This sounds so weird on read-back, sorry. Do you have any idea which video's he was referring to ? would be really interesed to see ( i honestly have tended to avoid Tucker Carlson ).
The one-sidedness of American mainstream media of the past years is really biting them in the ass right now. They worked real hard at destroying their reputation and credibility, so I can't really blame people when their first impulse upon seeing a unified, monolithic take on the war by the MSM is to distrust this narrative and being more open to alternative viewpoints. Fox News is trying to provide such an alternative narrative, but they're doing a bad job adding nuance to the discussion and you see lots of their segments trying to defend the indefensible.
Basically, when the MSM is presenting a unified front on an issue, they are usually, but not automatically wrong... and the war in Ukraine might be such an exception to the rule.
